Hoskote Infrastructure Pipeline 2026 to 2030

The Hoskote pipeline for 2026 to 2030 turns the town from an industrial centre on the edge of the city into eastern Bengaluru's main transport hub. Expressway links are already carrying traffic, a metro line to KR Puram is at detailed report stage, and a 500 MW data centre park is planned alongside the existing factory base.

Roads Already Carrying Traffic

Two of the largest projects here are no longer proposals, which sets Hoskote apart from most corridors making similar claims.

The 80 km northern arc of the Satellite Town Ring Road, running from Dobbaspet through Devanahalli to Hoskote, is fully open. Its 21 km southern extension towards the Tamil Nadu border on the Hosur route is nearing completion, which will take goods traffic past the city entirely.

The Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway, numbered NE-7, begins at Hoskote as a 10-lane greenfield road. Its Karnataka section as far as the Andhra Pradesh border is open and collecting toll, with the stretches towards Chennai expected to finish early in this cycle.

The Business Corridor

The Bengaluru Business Corridor, earlier known as the Peripheral Ring Road, is a 73 km 8 lane route now closing out its land purchase. When built it bridges the gap between Hoskote and the southern tech belts at Sarjapur and Electronic City.

That link matters because it is the one piece missing today. A resident working in the south currently has no ring route and must cross the city.

Metro and Mass Transit

Project Scope Stage
Namma Metro, KR Puram to Hoskote 16.3 to 17 km elevated line with 11 stations along the NH-75 corridor Detailed Project Report being finalised by BMRCL
Double-decker flyover on NH-75 Road flyover on the lower tier with metro trains above Design stage, with approvals and construction expected across 2027 to 2030
Integrated high-speed rail hub near Kodihalli A proposed 80 hectare station, depot and operations centre Proposed, serving the future Bengaluru–Chennai and Bengaluru–Hyderabad corridors

The double-decker design exists because NH-75 has already passed 80,000 passenger car units, and widening alone cannot absorb that. Stacking the metro above the flyover saves land on a corridor where buying land is the slowest part of any project.

Commercial and Industrial Shift

Hoskote's job base has been heavy manufacturing, with plants including Volvo, Honda and Mahindra. A planned 500 MW data centre park near the town would widen that into technology for the first time.

Large home builders have followed, with Godrej Properties launching a 13.5 acre project and Sobha Limited planning a 300 acre township, both with delivery timelines centred on December 2030.

Reading the Pipeline Honestly

  • Open today: the STRR northern arc and the Karnataka leg of the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway.
  • Near completion: the 21 km STRR southern extension towards the Tamil Nadu border.
  • Approved and buying land: the Bengaluru Business Corridor.
  • At report or design stage: the metro extension, the double-decker flyover and the data centre park.
  • Proposed only: the integrated high-speed rail hub at Kodihalli.

Price a property on the first two groups and treat the rest as potential. A detailed project report is a serious step, but it is not the same thing as a running train.

How This Compares With the Northern Corridor

Hoskote and Devanahalli sit on opposite arcs of the same ring road, so buyers often weigh one against the other. The eastern side is being built around freight, expressways and warehouses, while the northern side is built around the airport and aerospace plants.

Prestige Parklane, inside KIADB Aerospace Park Phase 2 at Devanahalli, sits 2 km from the STRR and 20 km from the airport, with possession declared for 31 December 2030. Both corridors depend on the same ring road, which is what makes them comparable at all.

FAQs

1. What major infrastructure is planned at Hoskote by 2030?

The STRR southern extension, the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway completion, the Bengaluru Business Corridor, a metro line from KR Puram, a double-decker flyover and a 500 MW data centre park.

2. Is the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway open?

The Karnataka section from Hoskote to the Andhra Pradesh border is open and collecting toll, with the remaining stretches towards Chennai still to finish.

3. Will metro reach Hoskote?

BMRCL is finalising the detailed project report for a 16.3 to 17 km elevated line from KR Puram with 11 stations along the NH-75 corridor.

4. What is the double-decker flyover?

A structure carrying road traffic on a lower tier and metro trains above, designed to save land on an NH-75 corridor already past 80,000 passenger car units.

5. Which companies manufacture at Hoskote?

The existing base includes Volvo, Honda and Mahindra plants, with a 500 MW data centre park planned to add a technology layer.

6. Which projects can I actually rely on today?

The open STRR northern arc and the Karnataka leg of NE-7. The metro, flyover and rail hub remain at report, design or proposal stage.
